Me and my girlfriend seemingly having a jolly good time in our finest clothes.

Cheerio!

Hi there, I'm Rasmus – a Digital Product Designer with over 7 years of experience. I'm currently based in Copenhagen, Denmark, where I'm designing for both web and mobile at the dynamic digital design agency Duckwise. Before that, I was trying to make it easier for everyone to experience the world through travel at KAYAK (known as momondo in Denmark). Over the years, I've worked across many industries, and even designed apps for hearing aids at Widex.

I'm primarily focused on and passionate about native apps, specializing in design systems and beautiful, compelling UI design. I enjoy working end-to-end, taking products and features all the way from ideation and research to design and pixel perfect hand-off. With a deep understanding of both UX and UI, I am able to merge functionality and aesthetics into one cohesive solution that satisfies both the user and the business that serves them. I thoroughly enjoy collaboration, and synthesizing many inputs into a final product that achieves the most complex thing in the world – simplicity.

I have a keen eye for aesthetics and layout, as well as an unwavering attention to detail that will haunt me until the end of time. My expertise encompasses design principles, patterns, and proficiency in both Apple's HIG and Google's Material Design. Furthermore, I'm a strong believer in a scalable and systematic approach to design, which is why I’ve spent a lot of time building design systems to increase the speed, consistency and quality of both design and development. Lastly, I have the ability to deliver compelling design rationale in both client and internal contexts, and extensive experience doing so in both realms.

As a product designer, I believe in fostering effective collaboration, and bridging the gap between design and development, by immersing myself in the world of developers, and take great pride in trying to understand their language and challenges.

With great enthusiasm, I try to stay up-to-date within the field, immersing myself in the latest web and mobile design trends, design patterns, best practices, or technologies and tools.

Last but not least, I'm drawn to projects that better people's everyday lives, as every day is comprised of millions of tiny, mundane moments. I want to work with people and companies that aspire to make these moments meaningful by simplifying or amplifying them through good design.

When I'm not designing

... you can find me playing basketball, man-crushing over LeBron James, re-watching Lord of the Rings Extended Edition️, or traveling the world – which is my personal favorite.

Here's a couple of pictures from my travels having visited 50+ countries

Surprise!

Actual footage of me flying on a Nimbus 2000 since you – for some reason – scrolled this far.
